After what seems like an eternity, France is getting back to normal on Monday June 2! I did manage to be very productive during the lockdown. But I am looking forward to having the freedom of movement.

If your country or state is still in lockdown , stay optimistic & productive. It will end soon.

It is March 2020 already. I just want to encourage you to keep your 2020 goals & dreams alive! It’s easy after the first couple of months to let them fade.

But this is the time to be extra committed to accomplishing the things you want to see this year. Take a look often at your goals to stay motivated and on track.

The other day my student and I began to enter the studio for the drum lesson. But we quickly discovered that someone was still rehearsing. It was a young man with a microphone, rapping.

The playback music was so loud he couldn’t hear us trying to tell him his time was up. So we began to set up the drums for my student hoping he would get the message. But he just got more excited and continued to rap.

Finally

, I had to walk up to him and say I have a drum lesson now. You have to leave. He was so surprised. He thought we heard him and just wanted to play with him!

Upon leaving I asked, “by the way, who is your favorite rapper?” He hesitated for a moment; then said – Me!” I laughed so loud and hard!! Then he laughed with me. He said it so innocently, I had to respect it. You need that kind of confidence coming up in the music business.

Bravo young man.

Bonjour mes amis,

J espère toute ca va bien.

Mon élève et moi entrée une studio pour le cours de batterie. Mais une jean homme son la avec le micro. Lui fait du rap. Le musique son très forte. Alors lui ne écouter pas nous. Nous commencer du arrange de batterie. Mais lui continuer.

Finalement je dit stop sil te plais, nous somme réservé le studio pour cette heur. Lui est surpris. Lui pense nous aimes qu’est lui fait et voudrez jouer avec  lui.

Avant lui partir je demander lui; “qui son le meilleur rapper vous préférai?”

Lui réfléchir et moi dit – MOI. Jai rigole forte! En suite lui rigole aussi. Lui répondrai innocentent. Jai respecter cette confidence. C’est nécessaire dans le business musique.

There are not many places that I enjoy as much as Paris this time of year , going into April. Songs and poems are written about it because it is just so beautiful.

The flowers are on full display in the parks. People are all out filling the side walk cafés. People are relaxed and smiling. The whole ambience of the city fills you with joy.

I hope you will visit Paris one day to experience it. If you live here or have been here during this period, then you know.

C’est pas existe une place comme Paris en Mars et Avril.. Il est merveilleux. Toute les fleurs dans les parcs son belle. Les jeunes dans toutes des cafés. L’esprit dans le Rue. Il fait trop beau! C’est la saison je préféré.

How are you today?

I am enjoying getting back into my Paris groove. I think my students are happy as well. One student took advantage of me being in town by taking a 3 hour lesson today! And after 2 hours in

, I asked if he wanted to stand up just to stretch. He looked at me like I was crazy. He insisted he was fine. He didn’t want to miss a minute by taking a break.

I really respect musicians who are so passionate and committed. That’s the spirit you need to be good. Nothing in life is garaunteed. But there is no other way to be good without committment and drive.

Hats off to all of my serious students and young musicians that are going for it. I am too!

Comment ca va?

Je suis content à rentre mon itinéraire Parisien. Et je pense

, mes élèves son content aussi. Un élève prendre une trois heur cours de batterie aujourd’hui.

Et après 2 heures jai propose lui faire un debut pour étirement. Et lui étonnent! Lui moi dit ” Je suis ca va!” Il ne voudrai pas perdue une minute du le cours.

Je respecté des élevés et musiciens comme ca. C’est l esprit nécessaire pour être un bon musicien. Est pas une garantie. Mas c’est pas possible sans cette courage et passion.

Bon continuation mes élèves et musiciens.

I hope this blog finds you well.

One of the biggest joys I get come from doing simple things. You might think I get the biggest feelings of joy when I travel to new countries or play on the big or important stages around the world…

I certainly enjoy these things. But it’s the small things that really give me a deep sense of bliss.

For example; during my morning walk this morning; I crossed a group of teenagers travelling on a class trip. They were in the park and blocking a path I was trying to cross. I happened to connect eyes with one of the slightly overwhelmed teachers. I gave a smile that seemed to wash away her stress. Because she returned a big smile , as if to say “You are right. It’s not so bad. The kids are just having fun. After all, we are in Paris France on a beautiful day”.

At least that was my interpretation of her smile. Then the students kindly made a space for me to cross and we all went our merry ways. Little encounters like this up lift me just as much as the big things.

I guess I’m trying to say , I appreciate the small things as much as the big things.

J’espère tu son ca va bien.

Les petite choses en la vie donner moi grande plaisir. C’est pas juste des grande tournées et nouvelle payés je découvert. Ce mes donner plaisir aussi. Mais je ne attendre pas just pour ce pour sentir bien.

Pour exemple: Cette matin quand jai fait mon grand promenade, jai voir une groupe des elves en la parc. Il bloquée une space je voudrai traverse. Je regarder le professeure qui être une peu stressée. Je elle donner une petite sérier(smile) et ell répondre avec une gros sérier(smile). Comme elle moi dit” oui, tu as une raison. Toute ca va bien. Les enfants son pas être méchant et nous somme visiter Paris France. Plus il fait beau.”

Elle ne dit pas ca. Mais j’interpret le sérier(smile) d’elle.

Je essayer tu dire; oui j’aime les grand concerts et spectacles. Mais jai aussi appréciée des petite experiences en le vie.

I hope you are well.

Since I returned from N.Y. the weather in Paris has been beautiful. I normally take the subway to get around town. But it’s too nice to be underground missing all of this sunshine.

So I have been walking to get some fresh air and exercise. This has led to walking more just exploring Paris

, which is the best way to discover new things in the city. Yesterday I walked around 2 hours! I simply fell into a rhythm and a lovely space of enjoying myself.

You know I often reccomend going to the gym. Well now I also reccomend going for a nice walk. It’s not only good for your health and mind; it is also very pleasant.

I am going to try and get a little walk in, today.

How about you? Even 20 minutes can make you feel good.

Depuis je rentre Paris du N.Y. le météo à Paris son superb.

Je commence du profit et fait des promenades. Il fait trop beau de prendre le metro. Et après je commence du march, je va plus et plus longue. Est très bon du découvert une ville par marche. Hier jai march pour 2 heures sans effort. Je suis perdue dans la rhythm et vibrations du la ville.

Tu sais jai dit souvent; va au gymnase… Mais je voudra dit aussi explorée des promenades. C’est aussi bon pour le santé. Mais aussi pour le tète et est très agreeable.

Je essayer fait une petit promenade aujourd’hui.

Et vous? Just 20 minutes donner des bon choses.

I hope this blog finds you well and happy. It’s been a while since my last blog. And frankly, I haven’t been consistent for a long time since the site was hacked. Now that the new album is out and I am off tour this month, I plan to blog more.

Just back from the U.S. where I had a few concerts. It was basically a vacation with some dates thrown in , which was cool. It’s not easy to find enough time to do everything and see everyone that I truly would like to when I am back home. Two weeks go by like two days. I am going back to visiting 2 times a year so it gives me more time.

Now I am back in Paris. I feel refreshed after refuelling on the love of my family and that special N.Y. American Energy. I have a full month off the road which is exciting because I can get alot of things done that I can’t when on the road. Things such as going to the gym & tai chi classes regularly. Taking piano lessons and giving drum lessons. Checking out a new meditation place I found out about a year or so ago. Practicing! And eating at consistent times and controllable foods…

It’s a beautiful Sunday here in Paris, so I am going to take advantage by going out soon.

Comment ca va? Bien j’espère.

C’est une longue temps depuis jai fait une blog. Et est plus longue depuis je fait des blogs consistent. Mais cette mois je suis en Paris et sans en tournée. Alors je anticipate de faire des blogs chaque semaine.

Je rentre du N.Y. ou jai visit mon famille et travaille 3 concerts( Boston, N.Y et Oklahoma). C’est passer très bien mais très court aussi. 2 semaine pas suffisamment de voir toute mes famille et amis. 2 semaines sentir comme 2 jours. Je pense du visiter 2 fois par an maintenant.

Je suis content de rentre Paris. Je reçu le bon énergie du mon famille at amis et du New York. Jai plein choses du faire cette mois quand je suis pas faire une tournée. Je prendre des cours du tai chi , piano; visit mon gym; practice mon batterie , donner des cours de batterie; visit une nouveau salle du meditation je suis très curieuse de voir; et manger à le regular heur et les repas contrôle plus de moi…

Il fait très beaux à Paris aujourd’hui. Je voudra profit par une promenade. Alors je part.

Passer une très belle journée!

I returning to my somewhat normal Schedule after months of preparing for the album release. I am happy to say that the concert was a big success!

Now my focus is on getting my new drum book released by a publisher and continuing to promote the new album. And my continues to  book dates for a upcoming fall tour.
